Florida Palm Trees

The most common palm tree in Florida is the Florida Palmetto (Cabbage Palm). It occurs from North Carolina to the Florida Kews. Florida Palmetto grows everywhere in the Sunshine State. It can be seen everywhere: on coasts, streets, landscapes, marshes…Florida palmetto is easily recognizable for its booty trunk and large costapalmate leaves that emerge from the trunk.
The Washington palm is another popular palm tree of Florida. Probable it is the tallest palm in the Sunshine State. Sometimes it is referred as the Hat palm, Mexican palm and Mexican fan palm.
